ReplyDeleteI wanted to respond to your comment on my blog (thank you for visiting, too!).
ReplyDeleteI found my spindle on Etsy, there are a lot to choose from, but I ordered from Froggy Fibers. Her spindles are inexpensive ($10 plus $3.50 for shipping) and rustic-yet-pretty. I wanted something rather basic in case I didn't find myself enjoying it. She also sells roving and handspun, so I figured she knew a thing or two about spindles. If you are new to spinning, let her know. She included some references for me to help along the way.
I also read Start Spinning, which was very helpful. You can look at Escaping Suburbia blog for inspiration, she has done lovely spinning.
