Farmer's Market Update

A big thanks to everyone that wished us well at the farmer's market. We were able to get everything baked and made with not much time to spare. It was hard work, but it was so much fin crafting and baking with a purpose with my girls.

Here's our table all decked out for the 4th of July weekend. I just happened to have red and blue table cloths. The banner was some last minute inspiration and made the same way as Rebekah's birthday banner. The banners are such a quick and easy project, yet they add that special touch. I didn't sell any of them, so they came home and decorated our front porch for the holiday.

It was hot! So our sun tea was a huge seller. I love this vintage crock and wished it worked. We found out the first week of the farmer's market that the spout leaks. I think it just needs a new gasket, but don't know where to find one. A project for another day. So for now we will use is as a display.

Our girls keep laying, so we have more than enough eggs for ourselves and plenty to sell. The Ginger Yap dog treats were Hannah's addition to the product list. She is our dog lover and noticed all the dogs at the market the first week. Our dog Beau loves them. We are hoping the all the other dogs will too. We sold a few. Luckily they keep and can go back to market next week.

As a special treat for the 4th, we made s'mores on a stick! Marshmallows dipped in melted chocolate and rolled in crushed graham crackers. YUMMY! The girls were glad that some of these made it home.

So now we start getting ready for next week! We plan to add a couple of new baked goods. Sarah's oatmeal chocolate chip and chocolate peanut butter chip cookies SOLD OUT, as well as her granola and our double berry streusel bread. And there will be lots of knitting. Cotton dish cloths, wool stuffed kitchen scrubbies and felted dryer balls all went like hot cakes. I have also had lots of requests for adult aprons so I am working on a design for those.

Lots going on so stay tuned. And visit don't forget to visit your local Farmer's Market.
