A few days ago I posted a link to a video clip about making your own seed pots. And since then we have been busy at work rolling pots. I even sat in the lodge while the kids were skiing one day and rolled pots. Talk about a conversation starter.

Here is Rebekah rolling one of her pots. If she looks a little under dressed she is. She wont take off her new bathing suit.

Hannah caught on the fastest turning out pot quickly. Which was a good thing because we needed lots of pots.

Slowly the pile of pots is growing.

Then it was time to fill . . .

. . . and plant.

We were able to get green beans, Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, broccoli, and basil planted. Not a bad start. We will be adding more tomatoes, a variety of peppers and more.

There is still snow on the garden, but we are hoping for an early spring! So what are you planning to plant in your garden?

  1. Your pots look great! I can't believe you are planting already!! Spring fever has officially set in here too!

  2. we like making our own pots as well. Our seedlings are already up now here in New England...hoping for an early spring here too ;-)

  3. Perfect timing - we plan to plant seeds this wknd. What a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Great pot making, busy little bees. cheers Marie

  5. I know how nice it is to get comments when people read your blog, so I'm sending out some good karma! No such thing as too much, am I right? So this is just me saying I've read your blog and I liked it! Loving those pots by the way! I'll have to give it a go!

  6. Kids gardening and planting is always fun. Kids like to see plants grow and you can join in the fun and help kids learn!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit! I look forward to your thoughts.
